The KitchenDaily editors have conducted an informal poll at the office -- very informal, shouting over to our neighbors' desks -- and we've learned you're either a "dessert person" or your not. Not that you don't like eating desserts (pretty much everyone was on board with that), but that you somehow avoid making desserts.

It's easy enough to see how it happens. Some are afraid of the "chemistry" of baking -- too much can go wrong, horribly wrong, with no way of fixing it. For others it's about time -- it takes all the energy we can muster just to get dinner on the table after a long day at work, never mind dessert. Even for dinner parties, you may have planned the perfect menu, but when it's time to select a dessert you just lose your steam and end up asking one of your guests to bring it.

Well, forget all of that. We've got 10 recipes that will blow away all the excuses, even for the most dessert-phobic among us. These are so easy you can do them with your eyes closed (well, not really, but you get the picture). There's something to match any dinner or party menu, any taste preference, and any budget. And they're just generally delicious. You'll find yourself making them again and again....or at least we that's what we're doing. Now we're going to work on convincing some of our resistant colleagues, too.
