The Skinny Chef
I never know what I'm going to make for dinner until the morning when I wake up and something sparks my interest. I recently popped on the TV for background noise and heard a Hot Pockets commercial.

What fun finger foods!, I thought, while the commercial portrayed the jubilant faces of kids coming home from a soccer game and grabbing golden cheese-filled turnovers from a plate. Looks delish, sure, but what about all those preservatives and the incredibly long ingredient list that I saw in a quick snapshot of the nutrition label?

Since I happened to have some pizza dough in my freezer, I thought, what could be easier and healthier than making them fresh at home? If you're also going to use frozen dough, simply place it on the kitchen counter top to thaw. Once you've filled and pinched your pockets, you can simply wrap them in wax paper and freeze them in a zipper-sealed bag. Voila!, you have your healthier hot pockets at the ready.
