Soda Smoothies

Doron SchlairShane Kelly takes favorite comfort food dishes and makes them more wholesome, and in this video, Shane provides two healthy, tasty alternatives to all those sugary sodas we used to love as kids (and our kids still do).
The first recipe Shane prepares is her Fizzy Juice recipe, which contains pure berry juice (in this case she uses cranberry), seltzer water, a bit of vanilla ice cream and a lime garnish. With just a stir of her spoon, she's created a drink that mirrors a root beer float, but with more natural ingredients. The second recipe, a Cocolada, reminds Shane of her childhood growing up in the Bahamas, where she often sipped on rich, energizing coconut milk. By blending frozen pineapple, ice, mint, honey, seltzer and citrus juice along with that coconut milk, she creates a soothing frozen creation that will transport you to the Caribbean, as well. What's more delicious in the summer months than a cooling beverage with a tropical edge?
