Buying Radishes

Choose firm, unblemished radishes, without signs of mold. Avoid those that feel spongy. If greens are still attached, they should look fresh and be brightly colored.

Storing Radishes

Remove green tops, if still attached. Refrigerate roots unwashed in perforated plastic bag for up to seven days.

Peak Season for Radishes

Available year-round; best May through November.
