When I was 10, I spent my summer picking watermelons in a field and selling them at a nearby farmer’s house for 200 lira each, or about 15 cents, and thought it was the best summer job ever. From my early childhood memories of my grandmother baking to my evening shifts at a pastry shop during middle school, food has always been an important part of my life growing up.

That passion for food has been the driving force for my successful career as a chef and restaurateur. After training under Michelin starred masters Alessandro Panzani and Simone Mugnaini, I have opened several of my own restaurants, been cast in three Top Chef franchise shows and now host my own food web series Chow Ciao!

I strongly believe in cooking as simple as possible but with your own twist. That means using seasonal and organic ingredients and following simple recipes that let the ingredients speak for themselves.

It’s the best feeling in the world to learn that my recipes can be a part of your day-to-day life in the kitchen. As Guest Editor on Kitchen Daily, I hope to inspire you to go back to the basics when cooking and make some truly delicious food!
