We are thrilled to be guest editing Kitchen Daily this week both as a Mr. and Mrs. and as partners running a hospitality business together. In a sense the two words "kitchen" and "daily" describe our life completely—when we are cleaning up one meal, we are already thinking about what to do for the next.  And if we are not at home, we are at one of our restaurant kitchens here in New York, The Lambs Club or The National, in Atlantic City at The Water Club at Borgata or even in our newest restaurant that floats around the Atlantic Ocean, Ocean Blue on the Norwegian Breakaway. So you see, no matter where we are, there we are right back around a table or in the kitchen. 

In a sense the two words "kitchen" and "daily" describe our life completely—when we are cleaning up one meal, we are already thinking about what to do for the next.

And what a wonderful place to be. The kitchen is certainly the heart of a home, and there is so much more to it than just what you are making at that moment. There are your tools. How you set your table. Ways to entertain. Hungry children to feed. So much goes in and out and around your kitchen other than just ingredients. So, we gathered up some of our favorite tips and tools that help us through each day that we thought you might find helpful, too.

When we do get a moment to take a break from work and the daily routine, we love to hit the road and explore. We love to see other people's interpretation of hospitality, how they think to serve a meal or how they welcome you into their hotel. Traveling to France is one of our all-time favorites—the history and culture are perfectly poised for foodie experiences. Some locales are big bold names and others are like hidden jewels that you seemingly can stumble upon in any small French town. It is truly exciting to explore the world through food, and we simply can't get enough of it.

We have just finished writing a cookbook titled The Perfect Pantry, which will be published by Clarkson Potter in the fall of 2014, and the lovely folks over there have given us permission to give Kitchen Daily readers an ultra-exclusive sneak peek. This week on Kitchen Daily, you will get a taste of what we have to say about honey, where we like to buy it and what we like to make with it, including one of our favorite cocktails that is just too good to stop drinking.
