In honor of American Heart Month we've created a heart-healthy menu that's low in saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium and high in fiber, antioxidants, and omega-3 fatty acids. And the whole healthy menu comes together in less than 30 minutes.

The Quick Heart-Healthy Menu

Braised Kale with Garlic -- garlic is a natural partner for assertively flavored kale.
Instant or Quick-Cooking Brown Rice -- toss the rice with olive oil and almonds for a fast and flavorful side.

Health Benefits

Salmon: Salmon is rich in omega 3 fatty acids, heart healthy fats that have been shown to benefit healthy people as well as those with or at risk for heart disease.
Kale: Kale is praised for its anti-inflammatory properties and is a good source of calcium and vitamins A and C.
Brown Rice: Fiber-rich whole grains, such as brown rice, helps reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Add a glass of red wine for even more heart healthy benefits!
