It's no surprise that fast food is popular with people around the world. It's not just quick and convenient. Some big brands have managed to create appeal across numerous nations with their varied menus. (Domino's in Israel even debuted a vegan pizza last year.) Research has found that just seeing more fast food restaurants can cause you to eat at more of them, and chains have clearly caught on by expanding their number of locations around the world.

So, do you know which fast food chains have the most reach throughout the globe? Wendy's is definitely one of the biggest. With 6,557 branches, it comes in at number 10 on this list. Baskin Robbins, Domino's, StarbucksBurger King and McDonald's all come out ahead of Wendy's.

Still, none of these chains are number one, and the brand with the biggest number of locations in the world might actually surprise you. It has a whopping 41,641 branches worldwide, and we'll give you a hint: It's a place that doesn't serve burgers.

Watch the video above to learn all the big fast food chains that made the list—and which one is really the biggest around the globe.
