It's a happy, happy day for pizza lovers.

Domino's has become the first big fast food chain to create a voice-order app thanks to a collaboration with Nuance Communications. The app uses voice recognition technology to let users place their orders. Android and iPhone users can touch the app and speak to "Dom." Like Siri, Dom is a computer-enhanced voice. At the moment Dom only understands English.

Patrick Doyle, Domino's Pizza president and CEO said in a press release, "There will be a day when typing on keyboards or with thumbs on mobile devices will come to a close; we want to be the ones who continue to advance the technology experience – hand-in-hand with our customers. Our mobile app users who are a part of this launch are truly helping set the foundation for the innovations of today, that will soon enough become the standards of tomorrow."

Domino's hopes that this new technology will attract the business of millennial consumers since Domino's mobile app now accounts for roughly 18 percent of its sales. The mobile app is one of Domino's fastest growing products. According to a press release from the pizza chain, the mobile app has been downloaded 10 million times.

This is not the first time Domino's has explored the technology market to enhance its brand. Recently, the pizza chain launched a pizza builder app for the iPad, where users can customize their pizza by adding topping themselves. For the man who has only eaten pizza for 25 years, this is definitely good news.
