What Your Favorite Ice Cream Flavors Say About You
Where did ice cream come from?
While the origins are unknown, early versions of iced treats date back to the second century B.C. Alexander the Great liked to top snow and ice with honey and nectar, and passages in the Bible refer to King Soloman's fondness of iced drinks. Nero Claudius Caesar sent runners to collect mountain snow and flavored it with fruits and juices.

Your favorite ice cream flavor might reveal more than you think.
In celebration of National Ice Cream Month, Baskin-Robbins partnered with Dr. Alan Hirsch, a nationally recognized smell and taste expert, to find out what a person's favorite ice cream flavor may suggest about their personality. The study was conducted by the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation.
"We uncovered quite a few surprising findings," says Dr. Hirsch. For example, people who preferred Rainbow Sherbet were more likely to be pessimistic, while Rocky Road lovers tend to be good listeners. If your favorite flavor is Mint Chocolate Chip, you're more likely to be argumentative.
July has been designated as National Ice Cream Month ever since 1984, when President Ronald Reagan issued the proclamation. National Ice Cream Day falls on the third Sunday of the month, which is July 21 this year.
