Crazy food mash-ups are nothing new to the seasoned foodie, but are you ready for the ultimate grilled cheese? Are you also ready for an epic ice cream sandwich? This brilliant treat is actually a combination of ice cream and grilled cheese sandwich. How is this possible, you wonder? The video above explains how to achieve nirvana through a sandwich. This recipe is super easy and ends up tasting like an apple pie after it's done. Amazingly, the grilled cheese ice cream sandwich only takes ten minutes. Turning grilled cheese into dessert is nothing new, but it is sure to surprise some of your guests!

Using common ingredients, you can make the most amazing ice cream grilled cheese sandwich, plus you get to use apple butter. By treating the sweetly-flavored grilled cheese like a panini, the sandwich will squish together creating one thick slice of apple-buttered and cheesy bread. Anne Taylor Pittman recommends pressing another skillet on top of the grilling sandwiches, to create a panini-like effect on the sandwich. Once cooked, just spread ice cream on the bread, top with another sandwich and slice.

This dessert is cheesy, cinnamon-filled and oozing with ice cream. Could you think of a better summer treat? Surprise guests with this unique dessert at a barbecue this summer.
