Michelle Obama was proclaimed the winner of Family Circle's Presidential Cookie Bake-Off today. Voters chose the First Lady's White and Dark Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe over Ann Romney's M&M Cookies.

Family Circle's cookie contest has correctly predicted the winner of four out of the last five American presidential elections. In 2008, voters chose Cindy McCain's Oatmeal Butterscotch cookies over Michelle Obama's shortbread cookies, but Barack Obama went on to win the election.

As ABC News reported, "nine thousand readers voted in the cookie poll this year, with 51.5 percent picking Obama’s recipe and 48.5 percent choosing Romney’s. Only 287 votes separated the two women, the smallest margin in first lady cookie contest history."

If cookies have anything to say about it, Michelle may get to taste sweet victory again in November.
