    Chill 4 serving bowls in freezer for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, remove ice cream from freezer to let soften slightly.

    In a glass measuring cup, mix together the boiling water and espresso powder, stirring until powder is dissolved. Diving among each serving bowl.

    Scoop 1/2 cup ice cream into each serving bowl. Drizzle 1 tablespoon Amaretto over each bowl of ice cream, then sprinkle with cookies. Using a vegetable peeler, shave chocolate over desserts. Serve immediately.

    There is no mention of what to do with the water/espresso mixture. Please email me that step that was left out of the recipe.

    You serve the espresso along side the dessert and the guest pours the espresso over the ice cream/amaretto/cookies.

    I wanted to serve this for a dinner party but could not because i did not know what to do with the expresso that i got ready.Can y help me out?

    The recipe shown on your website tells you to dissolve instant coffee in boiling water but the recipe doesn't tell you what to do with the dissolved instant coffee. Do you mix it with the Amaretto liqueur??? What???

    Looking at the picture it seems the espresso liquid is drizzled over the icecream as well, the dark colour on the ice cream in the photo is much too dark to be just amaretto. Or follow the directions: mix espresso and then leave it on the counter? :P

    Directions are totally incomplete. What do you do with the espresso? I assume you mix it with the Amaretto and let it cool - but who knows?

    Wrong assumption. I read other recipes - you just add the hot espresso and then amaretto, crushed cookies and shaved chocolate.
