Ingredients

Serves:

    • 2 cups homemade baking mix* (see below)
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Stir together homemade baking mix and heavy cream until just combined, then knead gently with your hands.

Take a small handful of dough and pat it gently into a disc roughly 2 inches in diameter and 3/4" thick. (If you have more time, you can roll the dough out and cut it with a 2-inch biscuit cutter. But I assume you are using a mix to make things a little easier on yourself…and your hands are right there!) Repeat with the rest of the dough.

Bake until biscuits are golden brown and one broken in half reveals an interior of fluffy crumbs, 12 to 14 minutes. Serve warm.

I think it's wonderful, can't wait to try. This is especially because 30 years ago I tried to make homemade biscuits (I didn't know what I was doing). My biscuits were like cement.
