A bowl of fresh fruit salad might get the snub at a party, but once you thread it on sticks, everything changes! A creamy yogurt sauce for dipping is brightened with the tang of raspberries.

Ingredients

Serves:

    • 6 ounces raspberries (1 1/4 cups)
    • 5 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups Greek style yogurt
    • 1 (1 pound) firm ripe mango, peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks (about 1 1/2 cups)
    • 2 cups (10 ounces) seedless grapes
    • 12 ounces pineapple, cut into 1 inch chunks (about 2 cups)
    • 1 quart strawberries, hulled
    • 3 kiwis, peeled and cut into eighths
    • 24 (8-inch) wooden skewers

Directions

Combine raspberries with sugar in a bowl. Mash lightly with a potato masher or fork and let stand at least 30 minutes and up to 1 hour. Add yogurt to bowl and whisk to combine.

Thread fruit onto skewers, leaving about 1 inch of space from bottom end (you should have 5 to 6 pieces of fruit per skewer). Serve with yogurt sauce alongside.

Make ahead: Fruit skewers can be assembled up to 3 hours ahead. Yogurt dipping sauce can be made 1 day ahead kept chilled in an airtight container.
