Pear Upside-Down Cake

Ingredients

Serves:

Directions

1.Cut pears lengthwise in half; remove cores, then cut pears lengthwise into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Arrange on bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Mix sugar and spice; sprinkle over pears. Top with berries.

2.Beat next 5 ingredients with mixer until well blended; pour over ingredients in pan.

3.Bake 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and cake begins to pull away from sides of pan. Cool 10 min. Run knife around edges of pan to loosen cake. Place large platter over cake; invert cake onto platter. Gently remove pan. Cool cake slightly. Serve topped with COOL WHIP.

really, Dianne. It is pretty clear. The "Jello" is pudding mix, as it says in the recipe. Read again. It's pretty good

I would say bake it at 350 degrees F. for 35 min. in a 13x9 metal or glass pan. I also substitute applesauce instead of vegetable oil. I have for at least 15 years now. This recipe sounds GOOD!!!!!!! Can't wait to try it!

I like the idea and I JUST finished preparing my cake for the oven...but the recipe does not specify what TEMPERATURE to cook at...so now I hope I don't ruin the cake. And I used apple sauce instead of oil, which is a lot healthier! :)
