Wow, they sure are smug. I am from the midwest and have never had chili without beans! Chili without beans sounds like just plain weird red sauce to me. And, I like my chili with sour cream, too! To each his own...

Absolutely fabulous!!! I couldn't find chipotle chilis so I used Chipotles in adobo sauce in a small can. Be careful, they are very hot - but, this is the best chili I have ever had. Am serving it at my son's 40th birthday party.

Wow...you people are pretty harsh on a RECIPE COMMENT BOARD. It's a new spin on an old dish. If you didn't try to make it, then you shouldn't be rating/reviewing the dish. And you know what? Everytime I have chili, it has beans! Texans sure are smug!

Hi, I was raised on "improper" chile (with beans) and I really liked this chili. It was very expensive to make because of the flour( that I could not find) and the cumin seeds and cinnamon sticks. I just don't have those in my cupboard. I liked it!

Ran out of room. I was determined to make it exactly like the recipe and thought it was very good. I used Goya red beans, they are a little firmer. The sour cream with lime juice is very good. Thanks for this recipe!

In a good chili you need to use beef, no hamburger meat. I wouldn't go for this recipe and no beans.
