It takes just 35 minutes to make these mouthwatering sandwiches, filled with a down-home mixture of shredded chicken and barbecue sauce that tastes like you've been cooking all day.

Directions

Heat the picante sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder and chili powder in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil.

Add the chicken to the saucepan. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until the chicken is fork-tender

Remove the chicken from the saucepan to a cutting board. Using forks, shred the chicken. Return the chicken to the saucepan and cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling. Divide the chicken mixture among the buns. Sprinkle with the cheese.
