The name says it all - this family-pleasing meatloaf is made special and scrumptious with golden mushroom soup.

Ingredients

Serves: servings

    • 1 1/2 pound ground beef
    • 1/2 cup Italian-seasoned dry bread crumbs
    • 1 egg , beaten
    • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Golden Mushroom Soup
    • 1/4 cup water

Directions

Heat the oven to 350°F.  Thoroughly mix the beef, bread crumbs and egg in a large bowl.  Place the beef mixture into a shallow 3-quart baking pan and shape firmly into an 8x4-inch loaf.

Bake for 30 minutes.  Spread 1/2 can soup over the meatloaf.

Bake for 30 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through.  Let the meatloaf stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

Heat 2 tablespoons pan drippings, remaining soup and water in a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat until the mixture is hot and bubbling.  Serve the gravy with the meatloaf.

I think that's the most boring meatloaf recipe I've ever seen

I have made this recipe before but use 2 lbs of ground beef. I also add about 1/4 can of the soup to the mixture. It is very good and the soup in the mixture gives the meat loaf added flavor.

Have used mushroon soup with my own receipe and the flavor is great also very moist, would suggest adding diced onions to this receipe.

I think this is a recipe I will try the next time my family gets together for dinner. I have a couple of "meatloaf lovers" and like to try new recipes for them.

No onions, no bell peppers, no other dry seasonings... sounds like this meatloaf will need a boost of flavor :-/

But I'll give it a try.

I do my meatloaf with 2lb of ground beef plus 1lb of pork and 1/2 lb of veal and of course eggs, saltines, and milk. But now will add campbell mushroom soup. It should be great.
