Tomato Basil Penne with Sweet Potato and Beet Balls is a delicious and wholesome dinner that my children love for a weeknight dinner. With a little preparation, this dish can be prepared in under an hour and you will be surprised with the compliments you get.


1 recipe of sweet potato and beet balls1 recipe of tomato basil sauce fresh basil twig3 cup penne, cooked al dente salt to taste olive oil grated parmesan cheese crushed black pepper


  1. When you are ready to serve, give the pasta sauce a quick boil and warm the sweet potato and beet balls.
  2. Place the cooked pasta on individual plates, place 3 balls over the cooked pasta, drizzle a bit of olive oil, pour a large cup of pasta sauce over this. Garnish with crushed black pepper, parmesan cheese and basil
  3. Serve immediately.
